Toss Results

CSK wins toss and opts to bowl first

Eoin Morgan: Andre Russell is not near fit yet so he misses out today. We can only control what we can do. We have had an up and down season. We are against a good CSK side

MS Dhoni: We are bowling first, bit worried about the dew. We had some dew during practice, so it’s better to bat second with dew around. We haven’t been at our best, that’s the reason we have been lagging behind. Quite a few changes, Faf, Tahir out. Watto, Lungi in.

CSK all raring to go for tonight!

KKR players try out an unique fielding drill; Check out

We are exactly one hour away from toss.

Pitch Conditions: A sudden unpredictability has been dissolved in the scoring patterns of late. Though the tracks have certainly gotten slower and drier with time, teams have managed to both defend and chase. At this venue, especially the pacers who have mixed their lengths have been able to reap more success. There will be some dew in the second half of the game, although it would not have any material bearing on the game

KKR will be counting on Lockie Ferguson’s performance tonight!

Lockie Ferguson has been a great addition to KKR’s bowling attack in IPL 2020. Despite entering late in the IPL 2020, Lockie has already bowled 21 out of 100 fastest deliveries of this IPL – 3rd most after Archer (41) and Rabada (28). Lockie also has the 2nd best economy among the 41 pacers who has bowled 10 or more overs in IPL 2020.

Will KKR play Russell tonight?

The question on everyone’s mind: will Andre Russell play tonight vs Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings? Is Russell fit? If he is, then is he available for selection? It’s a must win game for KKR. If Eoin Morgan’s men lose tonight, the road to playoffs will become a tad more steep.

Last IPL meeting- KKR (167/10 in 20 overs) beat CSK (157/5 in 20 overs) by 10 runs.

Earlier this season, the sides had squared off in Abu Dhabi on October 7, Wednesday. Kolkata beat Chennai by 10 runs at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium on the back of Rahul Tripathi’s 51-ball 81. Super Kings opener Shane Watson scored a half-century as well, while all-rounder Dwayne Bravo claimed a three-wicket haul.
