IPL 2020 : After exiting from IPL 2020, VIVO to sponsor UEFA Euro Championships

After exiting from the ongoing 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020), VIVO has now associated with the UEFA Euro Championships. 

The leading mobile handset company withdrew as title sponsor of IPL 2020, amid political tensions between India and China. 

VIVO now has signed off on a four-year deal with UEFA to become an official partner of the next two editions of the European Championships.

VIVO, a second-tier World Cup sponsor for the 2018 and 2022 tournaments, has now strengthened its commercial position in international soccer, with an agreement for Euro 2020, delayed to 2021, which will take place across 12 European cities, and Euro 2024 in Germany.

The company will be the inaugural presenting partner of the UEFA Euro opening and closing ceremonies.

Vivo joins Alipay, Booking.com, Coca Cola, FedEx, Heineken, Hisense, Socar, Takeaway.com and Volkswagen as partners of the Euros.

The delayed, 24-nation Euro 2020 will be played in: Amsterdam, Baku, Bilbao, Bucharest, Budapest, Copenhagen, Dublin, Glasgow, London, Munich, Rome and St Petersburg.

London will stage the semi-finals and final.

It is worth noting that VIVO & BCCI relationship has been suspended just for the ongoing season. VIVO still has a next season contract pending with the IPL.
