After a lacklustre, ongoing home series against the West Indies, Virat Kohli & Co will now fly to Australia for the cricket world’s most intense and exciting rivalry from November 2018 to January 2019.

India will begin their two-month sojourn in Australia from November 21, 2018, for the much-awaited tour comprising of three T20Is, four Tests and three ODIs to be played across Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Adelaide.

India Australia series will kick off with the first T20 match at Brisbane Cricket Ground, The Gabba in Brisbane on Nov 21. The firstTest is scheduled for December 6 to 10 at the Adelaide Oval. The Test series will be followed by first ODI at Sydney Cricket Ground on January 12, 2019.

The intensity of India-Australia cricket series has resulted in monkey gate like controversies which though unceremonious have overpowered the action in the middle. That significance of the game will be brought to the fore yet again for the Indian cricket fan, deprived of competitive and quality games for a while now.

Despite the absence of Aussies stars like Steve Smith and David Warner, the series is sure to provide fans with massive doses of intense and exciting moment with some of the best in class cricketing action. The duo was handed one year ban for their involvement in ball tampering scandal during Australia’s tour of South Africa earlier this year.

It has also been confirmed that veteran cricket craftsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni will not be a part of the T20 action in Australia. The former India skipper has also been ruled out of the T20 matches for the ongoing West Indies series in India.

The India tour of Australia will be broadcast live and exclusive in India by Sony Pictures Network India (SPNI), the official media rights holder of Cricket Australia for the Indian Subcontinent. Indian cricket fans can catch all the live action from the high octane series on Sony’s sports cluster channels and its OTT platform SonyLIV.

Sony has also launched a build-up campaign for the series with a short video that captures the essence of aggression, heated moments and on-field tussles in the sport.
