In a match befitting a tournament final, the Mumbai Indians defeated the Chennai Super Kings by the slimmest of margins – by 1 run – to be crowned champions of VIVO IPL 2019 fourth time.

Chennai Super Kings Imran Tahir atop the wicket-taker chart by taking the 26 wickets in the 12th edition of the IPL, in the 17 innings of IPL 2019, the purple cap holder managed to take 4 wickets haul 2 times so far. On April 14, in a match against KKR he took his first 4 wickets haul of this season and in CSK vs DC match on May 1, he took the second 4 wickets haul.
