WTC Final 2023: 'Ind vs Pak atmosphere would be more louder than Wembley', says Virat Kohli on Manchester Derby atmosphere in FA Cup final

“I’ve been to a football stadium once before, but that was one of the preseason games, not as passionate. This is something totally unbelievable and incredible”, Virat said.

When asked about how the atmosphere at Wembley rank as he has played in many venues, Kohli said, “Probably every football game we get it in the premier games in cricket, you know, like India, Pakistan in a World Cup is like that probably would be louder. But the passion that we see with fans here and you know how strongly they support their teams is something which is incredible to watch in every game”.

The former Indian captain also talked about growth of Indian football and how the affiliations of Premier League clubs have improved the sport in India.

“We see improvements in the national side because of these (Mumbai City’s involvement with the City Football Group), you know, cross connections as well. As I’m a part of a football team back home in the ISL with Goa, so I’ve seen the league grow at a decent pace”, Kohli said.

When asked about his preparations for WTC Final 2023, Kohli said that it has been pretty “chilled out”.

It’s pretty chilled out. We played in England a lot of times before, so nothing hectic. Pretty much the same old usual stuff. Not getting doing dense with it, just trying to enjoy ourselves and you know, just one Test match, give it all we’ve got”, the 34-year-old added.

Manchester City then gifted personalized jerseys to the couple, who were representing Puma.
