India tour of Sri Lanka: Proud moment for Team India’s maiden call-ups as they don Indian jersey in intrasquad match; Watch video: It is indeed a moment to cherish for Team India’s maiden call-ups some of whom donned the Indian jersey during Team India’s second intra-squad practice match. Four of five maiden call-ups- Nitish Rana, Devdutt Padikkal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Chetan Sakariya were spotted playing the second intrasquad match in Team India’s attire.

The Indian Team in Sri Lanka is undertaking training drills and regular intrasquad practice to get into the groove of things. During the second intra-squad practice match that happened on July 7, the bowling squad wore India’s practice jersey while the batting unit appeared in Team India’s actual outfit.

Unlike the first intrasquad match that saw proper coverage of scores, the second clash saw glimpses of the match. While from the batting, CSK star Ruturaj Gaikwad looked in fine touch as seen in the video shared by SLC, it was Navdeep Saini from the bowlers who did disciplined bowling. Nitish Rana and Manish Pandey were seen giving fine performance from the willow.
