Dinesh Karthik was dropped from the Indian team after the 2019 World Cup before he forced his way into the side on the back of some stellar performances in the IPL 2022. Playing for RCB, Karthik took the role of a designated finisher scoring 330 runs at a strike rate of above 180. His performances earned him a recall to the side, where he chipped in with valuable cameos against South Africa and West Indies to keep his place in the team.
