Having teased the announcement of the Indian kit, manufacturers MPL have officially set the date for the reveal. In a social media post, the brand confirmed that the jersey will be revealed in Mumbai at 8 PM. Earlier, the likes of Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer and Hardik Pandya had appeared in a video concealing their jerseys, creating buzz for the announcement.

Early suggestions give away that India might return to their light blue shade resembling the one they wore at the inaugural T20 World Cup. Pictures of Hardik Pandya in a kit have gone viral, even though only the chest area was slightly visible which gave away the colour. Whether that is the shade is among one of colours on the kit remains to be seen.
