“I met Yuvraj Singh before coming to Zimbabwe and he told me to ‘get on well once you settle down’. I was complaining that I was not able to register a century and he assured me that I will get it soon,” said Gill on Yuvraj Singh.
“I am feeling good. It was a good wicket to bat on and I was fortunate to get your good company. Luck was also in my favour and it was important for me to make the most of the opportunity that I had and I’m happy that I made it,” said Gill.
“I was having fun as I have previously batted with you in domestic matches. I was very happy because you are someone who is very sensible in the ground. I was lucky to bat with you, but unfortunately, I got run out,” said Kishan. Accepting his mistake and apologizing for the run-out of Ishan Kishan, Gill added, “That was totally my fault.”

“We were not expecting the game to go so tight. However, it is cricket. When the ball was on the air [Raza catch] it looked like it didn’t have any pace but then I saw the ball was dipping and decided to go for it,” concluded Gill.
India survived a huge scare in the 3rd ODI, winning the match by 13 runs to clean-sweep Zimbabwe 3-0. Sikandar Raza continued his rich vain of form, smashing his third century in 6th innings to keep Zimbabwe in the hunt. But he could not take Zimbabwe through in 290-run chase. Earlier, Shubman Gill had his redemption as he finally smashed his maiden ODI century. Ishan Kishan scored 50 to take India to 289/8.
