Athiya reacts on Instagram post
In a late night post on Tuesday, Rahul posted on Instagram where he was taking the net sessions. While Rahul didn’t have anything significant in the caption, Athiya didn’t take time to post her reply. Despite being late in the night according to India Standard Time, she posted her reply with an emoji, indicating the close relation between them.
If this was not it, Athiya’s father and famous Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty also showcased his close bond to the player. Sunil also posted a heart emoji and in unlikely terms accepted the close bond and relation between them.
Athiya and Rahul to tie knots soon?
Recent rumours suggested that Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul are all set to tie the knot in December this year. Reacting to the same, Suniel Shetty had exclusively told ETimes, “She is my daughter, she will get married sometime. I would want my son to also get married, the sooner the better. It’s their choice. As far as KL Rahul is concerned, I love the boy.
The couple have been heavily engaged to one another’s activity and are often seen together. The trip to Germany in June was a last addition as they both were seen together while Rahul had the surgery. They both were spotted on the airports before they flew out to Munich were Rahul had his surgery.

Rahul ready to lead team India
KL Rahul will play and lead India in Zimbabwe. In last minute decision by the selectors, Rahul will replace Shikhar Dhawan as captain of the Indian team for 3 ODI’s. Selectors felt that it is important for him to get some match practice before Asia Cup 2022
- The ODI series is part of the ODI Super League. Although India are exempted as a host, it will have crucial points for Zimbabwe.
- Rahul Dravid is unlikely to be the head coach on tour as India are due to fly to Dubai for a short camp for Asia Cup.
- VVS Laxman is likely to be the head coach on the Zimbabwe tour.
