Suryakumar Yadav played shots on all sides of the wicket en route to his dazzling innings iof 61. In fact, he hit six fours and four sixes in his innings, most of which came from lap shots or his trademark scoops over fine leg. This innings has once again led many fans and experts to dub Surya as the new Mr. 360, as this facet of his batting has been compared to South African legend AB de Villiers.
In fact, when asked about comparisons with de Villiers, Suryakumar Yadav said that there could only be one Mr. 360, and that is AB de Villiers. “There is only one Mr. 360 and I will try to play like him,” Surya said.
In response to this statement, AB de Villiers gave the ultimate praise to Suryakumar Yadav saying that the Indian batsman is quickly getting to that level.

Suryakumar Yadav, by virtue of this innings, also became the first Indian and second batter overall to cross 1,000 T20I runs in a single calendar year. He also hit the fourth fastest 50 by an Indian in T20 World Cup history, when he crossed the half-century mark in 23 balls. He is also currently the no. 1 ranked T20I batsman in the world, just a year after making his international debut.
