Shreyas Iyer was in sublime form in the ODI series against the West Indies but has failed to convert the form in the shortest format of the game. After a duck in the first game, Iyer struggled to come to terms with the pace and bounce in Basseterre. He was eventually dismissed for an 11-ball 10, before handing Devon Thomas a simple catch.
Shreyas Iyer’s form in T20Is has been far from satisfactory and given the competition for places in the team, the KKR captain has all but shut down the door on his selection in the Indian team. The 26-year-old nonetheless was given opportunities ahead of the likes of Deepak Hooda and Sanju Samson to prove his worth, but he has struggled to repay the faith Rahul Dravid has out in him.
