IND vs WI LIVE: India will take on West Indies in a three-match ODI series that begins on 6th February, Sunday, at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. India is coming into this series after facing a 0-3 drubbing at the hands of South Africa in their last ODI series, while West Indies too lost their last series against Ireland. As both the teams are looking to put up a good show, the series is expected to be intense. There will also be individual battles between the players as Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer and Yuzvendra Chahal will play against the likes of Kieron Pollard, Jason Holder, Shai Hope and Akeal Hossein. Kieron Pollard vs Yuzvendra Chahal

Kieron Pollard’s hitting prowess in well-known to everyone. For any bowler, he can be a nigtmare as if he gets going, he can be unstoppable. However, Yuzvendra Chahal has had decent success against him especially in the shortest format of the game. Pollard and Chahal are yet to face each other in the ODIs, but in the IPL, the leg-spinner has dismissed him four times. In the only T20I that they have played against each other in 2018, Chahal was the one who dismissed him. The 31-year old will once again look to make life difficult for the West Indies captain in the upcoming ODI series.

Virat Kohli vs Jason Holder 

Jason Holder will be coming into this series fresh after picking up four wickets in four balls West Indies’ last T20I match against England. The former captain has been in a good form in white-ball cricket in recent times and will be the key bowler for the Windies in the upcoming ODI series against India. His battle with Virat Kohli will be the most interesting one in this series. The former West Indies captain has dismissed him four times in ODIs so far. Kohli however has an average of 55 against Holder. It will be interesting to see how they square up in the upcoming series.

Rishabh Pant vs Fabian Allen

Rishabh Pant has emerged as a flamboyant batsman for India across all formats. The 24-year old has scored 623 runs in 41 T20I matches and when he is in form he can score big against any kind of bowlers. It will be intersting to see how the southpaw fares against left-arm spinner Fabian Allen. In 2019 when these two players met, Allen dismissed Pant for a golden duck. It remains to be seen whether Allen will have success yet again in the upcoming series.

Shai Hope vs Deepak Chahar

Deepak Chahar has the knack of picking up wickets in the powerplay. He has the ability to swing the ball both ways and always poses a challenge to opposition batsmen with the new ball. His battle with West Indies opener Shai Hope will be one of the most interesting contest in the upcoming series. Last time when West Indies toured India, Hope scored a brilliant ODI ton. He will once again look to score big in India and with Chahar expected to open the bowling with the new ball, we will be witnessing a good battle.

Shreyas Iyer vs Akeal Hosein 

Shreyas Iyer is known to score big especially against the spinners. The right-handed batsman can play his trademark hoick over deep-midwicket and long-off by dancing down the track against spinners of any kind. West Indies will have to find ways to stop him especially in the middle overs. Left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein has been a consistent performer for West Indies in recent times. It will be interesting to see how he fares up against Shreyas Iyer in the upcoming series.
