IND vs SL T20 Series: All eyes on T20 WC spots as India take on Sri Lanka- After a scintillating series in ODIs, the focus now shifts to the T20 series ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup. Shikhar Dhawan and Co will look to solidify their position in the India squad ahead of the T20WC in UAE. Skipper Dhawan, Manish Pandey, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Navdeep Saini, Prithvi Shaw, Surya Kumar Yadav, and Ishan Kishan will be in the fray to make it to the India squad for World T20. India will look to give a strong message to the opponents by winning the series. They will face New Zealand and Pakistan in Group B of the T20 World Cup. Meanwhile, youngsters from IPL will look to leave their mark in their first go in Team India outfits.
On the other hand, Sri Lanka who is yet to qualify for the T20 World Cup owing to their dismal performance in the shortest format will have to play qualifiers. They will play Ireland, Netherlands, and Namibia. Another loss could hurt them after losing the T20 series 2-0 against England last month. However, they are the favorites to make it to the final 12 teams to play in T20 WC.
