India Squad for T20I Series
India have picked a 16-person squad for the upcoming home three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. Hardik Pandya will serve as captain of the team, and Suryakumar Yadav will serve as vice-captain. The main change is the absence of senior players like Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Rishabh Pant is not part of the T20I and the ODI squad for the Sri Lanka series. Ruturaj Gaikwad makes a comeback after some outstanding performances in domestic cricket, while the duo of Shivam Mavi and Mukesh Kumar have received their first call-up to the India T20I team. Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan are the two wicketkeepers in the team.

India Squad for ODI Series
Shikhar Dhawan’s exclusion from the ODI team is the biggest change in Team India’s 16-man selection for the upcoming three-match home series against Sri Lanka. In the past few series against New Zealand, South Africa, and the West Indies, Shikhar served as captain of the India ODI side in Rohit Sharma’s absence. Rohit, who missed the Bangladesh Test series due to a thumb injury, has since made a full recovery and will captain the squad against Sri Lanka.
Team’s top wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant has also been left off the ODI and T20I squads for the Sri Lanka home series. While Shardul Thakur was not picked in the 50-over lineup, India’s T20I skipper Hardik Pandya has been named as Rohit’s deputy in the ODI squad.
While Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah have not reached full fitness, they are both expected to play in the home series against New Zealand. The four pace bowlers in the ODI team are Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Umran Malik, and Arshdeep Singh, while the four spinners include Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Washington Sundar, and Axar Patel.
