Ind vs SA: Mithali, Harmanpreet to lead India against South Africa in upcoming limited-overs series

Ind vs SA: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday announced the women’s squad for ODI and T20I series against South Africa. The players were picked by All-India Women’s selection committee. Lucknow’s Bharat Ratna Shree Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana International Stadium will host the 5-match ODI and 3-match T20I series beginning March 7th.

 

Harmanpreet Kaur will continue to lead the side the shortest format while India will play under the leadership of Mithali Raj in the ODIs.

India Women will play their first game after nearly a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They had last played the T20 World Cup on March 8, 2020. They ended up as runners-up in the tournament. The upcoming series will help the India Women to prepare ahead of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 in New Zealand.
