While the fans wage war on social media more often than not, the two most crucial players enjoy a great rapport and friendship. Both stars admire and recognise each others’ quality despite reports of possible rifts. During the 3rd T20 against Australia, the two were caught sharing such a moment on camera. Virat Kohli was returning from the field having scored a brilliant 63 off 48. Rohit who was at the dug out, went up to him and pat him on the back.
The two then enjoyed the rest of the match together sitting on a staircase as friends do. It was a precious moment that the camera crew captured and went viral on social media. With the two on good terms, the two will play key role in India’s T20 World Cup 2022 campaign.

- Axar Patel took special fielding drills after his fielding came under the scanner in the Australia series.
- Ravichandran Ashwin was seen batting and bowling in the nets, hinting at a potential all-round role in Hardik’s absence.
- Shreyas Iyer has joined up with the Indian team, but has not taken part in the practice session.
- Shahbaz Ahmed and Umesh Yadav were both in practice and did bowl in the nets.
- Harshal Patel and Deepak Chahar also got some batting practice.
