Former teammates in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Indian star pacer Jasprit Bumrah congratulated Quinton de Kock after picking up his wicket. Bumrah and de Kock have a good bonding after both the players shared quite a few seasons for Mumbai Indians in the IPL. India’s stand-in captain KL Rahul also joined Bumrah congratulating the South African batsman.

While Bumrah was retained by the Mumbai outfits, the 29-year-old Proteas star was not lucky. De Kock registered himself ahead of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction and has set his base price as 2 Cr.

This ton was de Kock’s 6th against the Men in Blue. Apart from his is incredible batting performance, de Kock broke achieved some wonderful feats. Overall this was de Kock’s 17th ODI ton and his 6th ODI century against India. His 6 hundred against India has come in just 16 innings. As an opener for the Proteas, he currently lies 3rd in the list of highest ODI century getters after Hashim Amla and Herchelle Gibbs.

Sanat Jayasurya has scored more centuries against India (7 hundred in 85 innings) ahead of de Kock’s 6 hundred in 16 innings. Apart from scoring 1000 rungs against India in ODIs, de Kock is currently in the second spot in the list of wicketkeepers with the most centuries. Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara tops the list with 23 tons.
