Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli built an important partnership after the men in blue lost KL Rahul early. While Rohit played anchor, Virat tried to be the aggressor in the innings. In his intent for quick runs, Virat hit one straight down towards Rohit’s end, with the Indian captain ducking trying to save himself.
Kohli drilled an overpitched delivery straight back as the ball hit Rohit at the non-striker’s end who somehow managed to deviate the ball with his hand before falling off. To his credit, the 35-year-old quickly got up and completed the single. Kohli and Rohit were both smiles after the incident with the video going viral on social media
