India and New Zealand will play a three-match ODI series starting on Wednesday, 18 January. Last year in November when New Zealand hosted India, rain curtailed most of the action. New Zealand now travels to India after defeating Pakistan on their home soil.

Both the teams enter the series with victories under their belts, with India having defeated Sri Lanka and New Zealand having won a tough ODI series against Pakistan by a score of 2-1. The visitors enter the series as the top team in the world after winning seven of their previous eight bilateral series.
