Speaking ahead of the opener tomorrow on Star Sports, India spin maestro Harbhajan Singh predicted the scoreline of the three-match series. Harbhajan also named two players he is looking forward to performing in the series and can be potential winners for the next T20 World Cup in Australia in October 2022.

India had a disappointing campaign in the T20 World Cup 2021 and failed to even advance into the semi-finals due to massive defeats in their opening two encounters, including the one against New Zealand.
The Men in Blue suffered an 8 wickets loss against Kane Williamson’s side in the Super 12 round of the T20 World Cup 2021 and will be eying to avenge it.
Speaking ahead of the opener tomorrow on Star Sports, veteran Indian bowler Harbhajan Singh predicted the scoreline of the three-match series.
“I wish Team India all the best and I hope they win. India winning the series 2-1 is what I am predicting,” Harbhajan said on Star Sports.
Harbhajan further said that he wants to see a couple of new players in different roles.
With many experienced campaigners being rested for the series, the onus will be on some new faces like Venkatesh Iyer, Avesh Khan, and Harshal Patel – who are looking for their potential debuts.
Apart from the potential debutants, the series comes as a perfect opportunity for the likes of Ishan Kishan & Surya Kumar Yadav to stamp their authority in the T20I set up for India and win matches in absence of T20 regulars.
“I want to see some of the new players in a different role. Like Ishan Kishan, I want to see him play regularly. He has a lot of potential. He will be a key player for the next T20 World Cup. He will have the responsibility of batting at No. 3 so I feel he should be given as many chances as possible,” Harbhajan said on Star Sports.
Speaking about Suryakumar Yadav, Harbhajan said he has a 360-degree game and can bat at any position. He further said that players like Suryakumar can win you tournaments, not only matches.
“Apart from him, Suryakumar Yadav is a player who can fit in any format. A player like him can bat at any position. I would want that role to be given to him because he is a player who can win you tournaments, not only matches. He has that 360-degree game. He is one of those guys I am really looking forward to performing,” Harbhajan added further.
