Former India batter Wasim Jaffer took to social media to share a hilarious meme as Kohli walked back to the dressing room after winning a rare toss. Kohli himself had a wry smile after he called the toss right and had no hesitation to bat first in Mumbai. The Indian captain doesn’t have a good record when it comes to tosses in Test matches. Out of 66 matches as India’s Test captain, he has won the toss only on 29 occasions.
Notably, Virat Kohli did not have luck going his way in his last tournament as T20I captain – the T20 World Cup. India lost tosses in their first 2 matches and lost both of them to Pakistan and New Zealand — a setback from which the Men in Blue weren’t able to recover.
