IND vs IRE: India vs Ireland Live Updates – The Indian squad to take on Ireland for a couple of T20I matches next month has puzzled many, and one of them is Sunil Gavaskar. The former skipper of the men in blue is particularly having a tough time comprehending the reason behind Rahul Tewatia’s omission, as he feels as his spectacular performances in IPL 2022, the all-rounder should have been included in the squad. Follow IND vs IRE Live Updates, India vs Ireland Live Updates on InsideSport.IN.

Rahul Tewatia had an exceptional IPL 2022 campaign

“Someone who shows that kind of temperament should have been in the team at least as 16th member of the team. At least his hardwork should have been recognised,” the former Indian skipper further added.

Gavaskar’s claims are perfectly valid, as Tewatia indeed was one of the star performers in IPL 2022. Playing for the title-winning team, Gujarat Titans, the all-rounder scored 217 runs at an average of 31 and a strike rate of 147.61, while he also can be very handy with the ball.
