In a game that had all drama and delay due to rain, the most exciting moment of the match came during the second session of the game as Rishabh Pant went on an aggressive approach. Pant is a great player of spin and therefore took the opportunity to attack Jack Leach with open arms.

India had a bad outing in the first session when they went on to lose their top order batters to the pace attacks of James Anderson and Matthew Potts. Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja came to the middle to revive the Indian innings.
Pant targeted Jack Leach and went on an aggressive foot against the spinner. Pant went on to hit a stunning 53 off 52 which consisted of 6 fours and a solitary sixer. Pant’s fiery knock yet again came to India’s aid as the session ended and progressed to tea.
Pant is now just 27 runs short of registering a record milestone in his cricketing career. If Pant manages to add 27 runs, he will go on to score 2000 runs for India in Test cricket. And with the aggressive intent which Pant is showing it looks like he will bring up his milestone in fine fashion.
