Notably, Hooda was in sensational touch in the recently-concluded two-match T20I series against Ireland. Batting as an opener, he scored an unbeaten 47 in the first game, and then followed it up with an incredible 104 in the second match.

Following his superb display against the boys in blue, Indian fans wanted Hooda to feature in the T20I squad against England as well, and their wish has been answered as the 27-year-old all-rounder has been named in the squad for all three T20Is.
Meanwhile, Arshdeep Singh, who was impressive during IPL 2022, has received a maiden call-up to the ODI squad, besides being named in the squad for only the first of the three T20I matches.
India and England will lock horns with each other in three T20Is starting from July 7 onwards. Both the teams will play three ODIs starting from July 12. Rohit Sharma will be leading the side in both the series. Virat Kohli also makes his return to the side after the 1st T20I.
