Meanwhile, Virat Kohli also went past Kane Williamson’s record for the most number of fifties in T20I cricket by a captain. Kohli got his 12th T20I fifty as captain as India posted their 4th highest-ever T20I total of 224 for 2 in 20 overs.
This is also India’s highest-ever total in a T20i match against England as they went past the 2007 T20 World Cup tally of 218.
