The cricketer, who holds the record of three ODI centuries, has won numerous matches for India on his own. Despite the fact, it is only the second time in his 13-year-international career that Rohit is appearing in 6 Test matches in a row. The 32-year-old had played his first two Tests against West Indies in 2013 before flying to South Africa and New Zealand for two-Test match series (2014). While Rohit slammed centuries in the first two Tests in 2013, he failed in the remaining four Test matches against New Zealand and South Africa.
Following his failure in the longest format, Rohit had been left out of the Test cricket due to inconsistent performances.
The right-handed batsman scored his next Test century after four years spanning 19 Test matches as he was in and out of the Test squad. In 2019, Sharma smashed 176, 127 and 212 against South Africa in the Three-match Test series in India.
Following his prime form, Rohit played a couple of Tests against Bangladesh but an injury forced him out of the New Zealand tour.

Rohit also missed the first two Tests against Australia due to an injury in December. But he contributed 52, 44 in the last two Test matches. The right-handed batsman, who is playing his sixth consecutive innings, has re-established himself as someone who can handle tricky surfaces.
Rohit has 2566 runs in 37 Test matches at an average of 46.65, including 7 hundreds.
