The head coach may now travel to Southampton for the 1st T20 with captain Rohit Sharma. But a decision on that is yet to be taken. But in any case, VVS Laxman will be in charge of the 1st T20.

From the Test squad, the likes of Test specialists Mayank Agarwal, Hanuma Vihari and Ravichandran Ashwin will return to India. However, Cheteshwar Pujara, who has a contract with Sussex is likely to stay back for their rest of the campaign. India won’t be playing a Test until November.
After the 1st T20, the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sanju Samson, Venkatesh Iyer and Rahul Tripathi will return to India. Umran Malik is expected to stay back as a net bowler for the ODI series. Although Arshdeep Singh is not there in the 2nd and 3rd T20, he will feature in the ODI series. Bhuvneshwar Kumar will instead return to India after the T20 series as he is not in the ODI squad.
