· Mohammad Siraj, & Umesh Yadav bowled well in the first Test. The former picked up four wickets.
· With Dhaka’s pitch favoring spinners, India may go in with three spinners in the form of Ashwin, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav.
· Siraj won’t be dropped owing to his stupendous show in the first Test and his track record in the longest format of the game.
· Unadkat might be selected in the team of Umesh Yadav. What might work in his favor is the Saurashtra pacer’s batting skills.
· Umesh though is fully fit and has done well in the limited chances he has been given in sub-continent conditions.
· So, Rahul Dravid and KL Rahul won’t have any specific reason to tinker with a winning combination.

Jaydev Unadkat has been in and around Team India for over a decade. Unadkat replacing Shami may not be quite a like-for-like replacement. As per sources, the experienced pacer was chosen based on his current form. He picked up 19 wickets in 10 games during the just concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy, making him the tournament’s top wicket-taker.
