In the pics uploaded by Rinnie on her Instagram account, Unadkat looked elated as he stared at the Indian jersey he received from the Indian board. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma’s wife Ritika Sajdeh also commented on the post.
After 12 long years, the tall pacer will finally be donning the India jersey and he would be looking forward to treasure every bit of these priceless moments by making the ball do the talking. The Gujarat cricketer has made his only Test appearance during the 2010/11 tour of South Africa and made his debut in the Centurion Test match. He went wicketless in that contest and conceded 101 runs.
However, Jaydev Unadkat has come a long way and is one of the most accomplished bowlers in Indian domestic cricket. His best phase happened to be during the 2019/20 season of the Ranji Trophy where he not only led Saurashtra to a title but also registered 67 scalps to his name which is the second most for a bowler in a single edition of the prestigious tournament.
