Dinesh Karthik’s career graph took a massive hit in the last edition of the Indian Premier League. Prior to the start of the IPL 2022 edition, Dinesh Karthik was commentating in the UK. But the RCB batter shocked others with his incredible performances in IPL.

Karthik donned the role of Finisher 2.0 and played some brilliant knocks to win games for the Bengaluru outfits. Now the focus shifts to the oldest format of the game. India take on Australia for a 4-match Test series at home.

Shubman Gill who has been in hot form for India across all three formats was praised by Karthik. “I have seen him in close quarters and there is something special about him. The first thing I observe is temperament. That was there in abundance. At KKR when I was captain, we sent him at No.6 and 7. Those are hard spots to play. Even now you can see a Deepak Hooda coming and (struggling), it’s not easy. He went in and did that job with aplomb. He would take the team through,” said Karthik on Cricbuzz.
