Ind vs Aus 3rd Test at SCG: Mohammed Siraj gets emotional during national anthem: Mohammed Siraj was so overwhelmed in the third Test between India and Australia at Sydney Cricket Ground that he could not stop his teas. The pacer who had made his Test debut in the second match in Melbourne, was in tears while singing the national anthem. Although he quickly wiped them off, the camera managed to capture the touching moment.

Former Indian batsman Wasim Jaffer putting Siraj’s feelings in words wrote on Twitter: “Even if there’s little or no crowd to cheer you on, no better motivation than playing for India. As a legend once said “You don’t play for the crowd, you play for the country.”

Siraj start the day 1 strongly, sending David Warner back cheaply. However, the game was stopped due to rain. Eventually, the umpires had to call for early lunch. The score stands at 25/1 with Marnus Labuschagne and Will Pucovski at crease.

India had made two changes to its playing eleven to strengthen its chances of win the match and take a lead in the four Test series. If India win in Sydney, it will retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
