Ind vs Aus 1st Test: Steve Smith returns to training – Latest Updates: Australian coaches, selectors and fans would have breathed a sigh of relief after seeing Steve Smith back in training for the first Test in Adelaide Oval against India starting Thursday.
Smith missed Tuesday’s full-squad session after his back tightened up on the cusp of training, which required medical attention.

The 31-year-old underwent treatment on what was reported ‘lower back soreness’ by a team spokesperson. He left the ground within 10 minutes of training but was feeling better today facing sidearm throws from assistant coach Matthew Mott and medium pace from Moises Henriques.
Smith was the first to reach the training. Initially, he did not appear to have his full range of motion in the net session, occasionally grunting as he picked up a ball. But as the blood started flowing throughout the system, so did Smith.
The No.1 batsman in Test format batted for approximately 50 minutes. After a quick breather, cold drink and change of gloves, Smith went in for a second hit, this time against the sidearm throws of coach Justin Langer for 15 minutes to conclude his time in the nets ahead of the showdown against India.
