ICC WTC Finals – Indian team England Tour & WTC Finals: The All-India Senior Selection Committee has picked the Indian squad for the inaugural ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final and the five-match Test series against England.

ICC WTC Finals – Indian team England Tour & WTC Finals: Team India’s first stop will be in Southampton where they play New Zealand to decide the first champion of the Test format. Following their 3-1 win against England at home, India finished as the No. 1 side with 72.2 percentage points and booked their place in the final.

India’s squad: Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli (Captain), Ajinkya Rahane (vice-captain), Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), R. Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Mohd. Shami, Md. Indian team England Tour & WTC Finals: According to the information available, selection committee earlier had submitted list of 35 probables for the tour to BCCI. The selectors prune the list to 20 members – while 4 members have been named as stand bys. The board will now complete the logistics & travel arrangements for the probable list submitted by the selectors.

ICC WTC Finals, India tour of England to go as scheduled, charter flight to be booked for Virat Kohli’s team

ICC WTC Finals – Virat Kohli’s team to travel by Charter Flight: WTC Finals and India’s Test series against England are set to go ahead as scheduled despite Covid-19 surge and travel ban imposed on India by United Kingdom. The Indian cricket board (BCCI) is developing a plan to book a chartered flight for Virat Kohli and men for the WTC Finals and five Test series (starting on August 4). As per current guidelines put on by the UK government, athletes will have to undergo a 10-day period of quarantine upon arrival.

ICC WTC Final: India and few New Zealand players might travel together to Southampton

New Zealand cricketers in the ongoing IPL might travel with the Indian Players for the WTC final as they can’t come back home and then depart for England due to strict quarantine protocols, the country’s players’ union chief has indicated.

Few New Zealand players, including captain Kane Williamson, have stayed back in Delhi. They will fly directly to London for the two Tests against England, before they from India in the WTC final.
