Wanindu Hasaranga’s impressive performances in the ongoing India vs Sri Lanka series saw him climb up the ICC Rankings for Men’s T20I. While the series has hardly been a positive one for the hosts, Hasaranga has seen his stocks rise, with his consistent trickery in the three-match ODI series and the T20I game that followed. The Sri Lanka leg-spinner leapfrogged Rashid Khan in the process and is only behind Tabraiz Shamsi in the list.

Following his exploits in the India vs Sri Lanka series, Wanindu Hasaranga climbed to No,2 in the ICC Rankings for Men’s T20I bowlers. The leggie finished the first T20I with figures of 2/28 from his four overs, earning 27 rating points, leapfrogging Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan for the No.2 spot. Tabraiz Shamsi retains his top spot with 792 points, while Hasaranga (720 points), Rashid Khan (719), Adil Rashid (689) and Mujeeb ur Rahman (687) make up the top five.

The batsmen’s top 10 remain unchanged with India’s Virat Kohli and KL Rahul featuring the in the former. Dawid Malan continues to top despite a dismal series against Pakistan, while Babar Azam and Aaron Finch are close on their heels. Mitchell Marsh’s impressive performances against West Indies saw him sneak into the all-rounder ranking at 9th, after making a mark with both bat and ball. The list is lead by Mohammed Nabi, with Shakib Al Hasan at second.

In ODIs, Josh Hazlewood saw a massive rise and is now at No.2 in the ICC Rankings for Men’s ODIs. He impressed against the West Indies and climbed five spots in the list ahead of Mujeeb ur Rahman and Chris Woakes. Hazlewood’s teammate Starc also broke into the top 10 and is placed at 8th, 27 points behind India’s Jasprit Bumrah.
