Kidambi Srikanth vs Lee Zii Jia LIVE
Kidambi Srikanth showed great determination and put on a show to outwit NG Ka Long Angus in a hard-fought match and cruise into the semifinals of the Hylo Open Super 500 badminton tournament in Germany. The sixth-seeded Indian subdued the higher-ranked Hong Kong shuttler 21-11 12-21 21-19 in a men’s singles quarterfinal that lasted one hour and four minutes.

Srikanth had five match points to seal the deal but the former world No. 1 squandered four before eking out a narrow win. Srikanth will take on Lee Zii Jia of Malaysia in the last-4. Zii Jia defeated eighth seed Kantaphon Wangcharden in his quarter-final clash and will be the favourite to go through. However, Srikanth has shown his mettle and outlasted higher seeded players in the competition. This will be the first meeting between the two players.
Lakshya Sen vs Loh Kean Yew LIVE
Lakshya, ranked world number 21, prevailed in a seesaw battle to notch up a 21-18, 12-21, 21-19 win over three-time junior World Champion Kunlavut Vitidsarn on Friday night. The 20-year-old, who had claimed five titles in 2019, had a decent outing at the Denmark Open and French Open with the second round and quarterfinal finishes respectively. The Indian youngster ran up a lead of 8-3 in a jiffy and led 11-8 at the break. The Thai shuttler tried to turn the tables but Lakshya was always ahead and comfortably pocketed the first game. He will face Loh Kean Yew and has a better head to head against the Malaysian, winning two of their three games.
