Greetigns pour as WTA founder Billie Jean celebrates 75 birthday

Billie Jean King, WTA founder and legend, celebrated her 75th birthday on Thursday (yesterday) and as always, she did it with grace and style.

“It’s hard to deny that I am in the final set, the fourth quarter, or in the seventh inning stretch of my life, but as I did as a youngster in Long Beach, California, I have chosen to live every day of my life with passion and purpose – because life is truly precious,” she wrote on her blog.

There have been plenty of birthday greetings for her from the world of tennis.

Fellow former tennis ace Chris Evert led, fans and fraternity in greeting the legend.
