Swiss Tennis Maestro Roger Federer will have fought odds in order to script history in the French Open 2021. Recently, he made his comeback to the clay court but lost to a lower-ranked compatriot Pablo Andujar in straight sets. The 39-year-old hasn’t played tennis before that for five months.

Earlier this month, Federer said that since the French Open was delayed for a week, it has affected his schedule drastically.

“I’m convinced that hitting a lot of balls – you have to really power through the ball like you have to on clay because otherwise, you’re not going to have an impact on this surface,” he told Reuters.

Federer has reached French Open titles 5 times where he was beaten by Nadal on four occasions.

Having said that, Federer will still be a fierce competitor so we cannot rule him out of Roland Garros 2021.
