French Open 2021 LIVE: Ashleigh Barty enters second round, defeats B Pera in straight sets (Barty vs Pera)- World no.1 Ash Barty has defeated B Pera in the opening round of the French Open. The Aussie won the match 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 after losing the second set to the Croatian. 2019 champion dropped just 2 points in the last set to secure her place in round 2 at Roland Garros.

Barty, who is ranked No. 1 in WTA rankings, did not participate in the last edition of the French Open. She is having a wonderful run in 2021 on a clay court with 13 wins under her belt out of 16 matches.

Spectators in French Open

· From 30th May to 8th June, the stadium will welcome 5,388 spectators per day. Each “ERP” can be used to 35% of its total capacity, welcoming up to a maximum of 1,000 spectators. 

· From 9th June, Philippe-Chatrier court will be allowed to welcome 5,000 people, but only spectators with a “health pass” will be granted access to the stadium. The number of spectators allowed inside the stadium will be gradually increased to 13,146 spectators in total on 9th and 10th June. Each “ERP” will be used to 65% of its total capacity, for a maximum of 5,000 spectators in each.
