Intercontinental Cup
The Intercontinental Cup, a four-nation football tournament, is hosted by the All India Football Federation (AIFF). The 2018 Intercontinental Cup (India) was the first event under its new name, which was inaugurated in 2018 to replace the Nehru Cup.The competition was conducted by the AIFF as part of the senior men’s team’s preparation for the Asian Cup. The third edition of the Hero Intercontinental Cup will be held; the first two, in 2018 and 2019, were held in Ahmedabad and Mumbai, respectively. The contest is used as a warm-up for the Asian Cup in 2024.
From June 9 to June 18, the four-team Hero Intercontinental Cup will be held during the FIFA International Window, with hosts India competing alongside Lebanon, Mongolia, and Vanuatu.
