Ajax currently has set a price tag of £50 million for Lisandro Martinez and is unwilling to settle for a reduced amount. It is understood that Manchester United and Arsenal both would be likely to be involved in a bidding war for the player in the coming days. Manchester United currently are on the search for an aggressive defender and the 24-year-old defender ticks all the boxes for the Red Devils.
Over the last 24 hours, Manchester United has made significant approaches in the Transfer Market. The Red Devils apparently hijacked an almost done deal of Tyrell Malacia to Lyon. The 22-year-old left-back had a verbal deal with Lyon with paperwork and medicals pending. United swooped down with an improved bid in the last hours to convince Tyrell to make Old Trafford his next destination.
As for the deal regarding Frenkie de Jong, both Manchester United and Barcelona are yet to finalize the total transfer fee for the midfielder. Manchester United has agreed to pay a fixed amount of £65 million to Barcelona. Including add-ons, the deal can rise up to £85 million which is currently being negotiated by the clubs.
