Xavi said that whatever will be the result of the game on Sunday, nothing will be decided. He said, “If we win, it would be a knock [for Madrid] in the table. It wouldn’t be definitive, but it would be a strong blow. Whatever happens, I think nothing will be decided [on Sunday]. We train naturally, knowing we have a great opportunity. If we win, we will take a very important step to win the league.”
“We are very motivated. For some players, it would be the first league title. We prepared for the match, no matter how important it is,” Xavi added.
It’s only been 3 months since we entered 2023 and this will be the 3 El Clasico game of the year. This will be Xavi’s first El Clasico as manager at Camp Nou and the Barca manager will be backed by around 90,000 fans in the stadium. If he manages to bag another win over Carlo Ancelotti Real Madrid, it will give them a 12-point lead in the league with 12 games left to defend it.
