Emerson was playing against Morrocco for Brazil during the international break, where he got his knee injured. The 24-year-old was seen limping after the game. According to reports, he will undergo surgery.

Moreover, the estimated recovery time is around six weeks, which will make him miss most of the remaining games of Tottenham. He might be back into the squad in the last few games but might miss his place to Pedro Porro, who was preferred by Conte over him recently.
Despite this, Royal admitted he had a good relationship with the recently sacked manager, Antonio Conte. He told Globo Esporte, “As for Conte, I have a good relationship with him, he’s not that coach that we have a very close relationship with, of talking a lot, it’s his way. He’s a coach who wants to help everyone, instructs, he shows the role he wants in each one’s game.
“I don’t see any problem, I have a good relationship with him,” he added.
Emerson Royal has been producing good numbers from the right side of the pitch for Spurs. He scored 2 goals and assisted once in Premier League this season in 22 appearances. This might not be the best figure for a wingback in Premier League, but Royal has been impressing with his runs and presence on the pitch.
Rodrigo Bentancur and Yves Bissouma are two other names who have been missing games for Spurs due to injury.
