Morocco claimed a narrow victory over Canada to advance to the Round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup 2022. Morocco is followed by Croatia in the advancement while Belgium’s “Golden Generation” is shockingly ousted.

Japan 2-1 Spain

Japan rallied from a goal down in the second half to defeat Spain 2-1 on Thursday and advance to the World Cup knockout stages as group champions. Despite their defeat, Spain joins Japan in the round of 16 on goal difference, thanks to Germany’s victory over Costa Rica in the group’s other game.

Germany came from behind to defeat Costa Rica 4-2 but sadly had to bow out of the tournament. Japan’s stunning win over Spain was enough for the Asian side to top Group E while Spain goes through as the second placed team in the group.
