1. Daniel Ricciardo & Max Verstappen collision
Back in 2018, Red Bull drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen were involved in an unfortunate accident. The duo were pushing each other and Ricciardo was not able to hold onto his position as Verstappen passed him twice in the race. The Australian then decided to pit but a poor out lap saw Verstappen take the lead from Ricciardo.
However, things didn’t end there as both the drivers collided on Lap 40 at the start-finish straight. Ricciardo was trying to overtake his teammate Verstappen and in that process, he attempted to pass him into Turn 1. However, the Aussie was a little late to break and rammed his car into the rear of Verstappen’s car.
2. Lewis Hamilton & Sebastian Vettel fight
In the 2017 Azerbaijan GP, Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel indulged in an on-track fight, which resulted in the latter being given a 10-second stop-and-go penalty and three penalty points on his driving license.

Both the drivers clashed in one of the three restarts in a race that was deemed chaotic. Lewis Hamilton was leading the race, and in Turn 15, it seemed that he didn’t accelerate and Sebastian Vettel crashed into the rear of his car. In that process, he lost his front wing and a fuming Vettel then went on to collide with Hamilton.
3. Romain Grosjean’s weird crash
Romain Grosjean was heating up his tyres due to a safety car back in 2018. In that process, he somehow lost the grip and rear of his tyres and hit the barriers. It’s an unusual way of getting retired from a race as he was up until that point running in P6.

4. Lewis Hamilton’s ‘magic’ trouble
Back in the last edition of this race, it seemed certain that Lewis Hamilton will see the chequered flag as P1. However, things went downhill following a restart after a red flag. Hamilton had turned on ‘brake magic‘ by mistake, and hence, his brakes overheated. The British driver subsequently could stop his car into Turn 1 and went straight, giving Sergio Perez the race win.
5. Valtteri Bottas’ puncture
Valtteri Bottas was leading the 2018 Azerbaijan G, but as lap 49 began he somehow punctured his right rear tyre and lost the lead of the race. Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton took the charge of the race as Bottas had to retire from the Grand Prix.
