Euro 2020, Sweden vs Poland: Key Battle 1

Alexander Isak vs Kamil Glik

Isak has been a real breath of fresh air for Sweden at the top. The 21-year-old has had to share the bulk of the attacking responsibility in the absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and has given a good account of himself.

Although Isak has yet to score in the tournament, his overall play has put him on the map for the most exciting players on display. Glik, on the other hand, has not enjoyed the best of tournaments with Poland.

The Polish centre-back is 33 now and has probably lost a shade of his pace. As such, Glik will almost definitely have to work his socks off to try and keep Isak at bay.

Robert Lewandowski vs Victor Lindelof

Lewandowski showed plenty of heart to salvage a point against Spain in the last game. When Poland were chasing the game, the marksman led the line with determination and confidence.

Eventually, it was him that found the equalizer too. On another day, Lewandowski might have even found the winner after being denied by Unai Simon.

The Bayern Munich striker is expected to come against Lindelof in the upcoming game. With nothing short of a win required to help their cause in the tournament, Poland and Lewandowski will hope to leave a dent on what has otherwise been an excellent campaign for Lindelof.

Euro 2020, Sweden vs Poland: Key Battle 3

Emil Forsberg vs Kamil Jozwiak

Forsberg converted the penalty that helped Sweden register their first win at Euro 2020 in the last game. Although the midfielder is capable of more than just slotting home a spot-kick, it is undoubtedly a great start.

Jozwiak has played every minute of Poland’s campaign so far and is expected to be tasked with the duty of tracking Forsberg on the night. The Derby County star will be hoping to get tight to Forsberg in an attempt to nullify the threat. Whoever emerges victorious in this individual battle could lay the ideal platform for their team.
