Euro 2020 Poland Squad- All you need to know; Fixtures & Group Standings, full Poland squad, Key Players, Predictions
Euro 2020 Poland Preview: Poland earned four more points than Sweden in the Nations League, but that could be connected to their group being a bit easier. Robert Lewandowski is arguably the best striker in the world, but that does not guarantee victory in a team sport. Poland slumped at the 2018 World Cup despite people having reasonably high hopes of them.
The opposite was true for Sweden, which reached the quarter-finals for the first time since 1994. None of these factors might matter at the Euros, but the point is that there are fair cases for both Sweden and Poland to finish as runner-ups of this group.
Poland in Group E of Euro 2020: Poland is in the same group as Spain, Sweden, and Slovakia. They open against Slovakia in St. Petersburg on June 14 and then take on Spain in Seville on June 19 before returning to Russia to face Sweden four days later. It’s a round trip of more than 7,000 kilometers (nearly 4,500 miles).
Poland in Group E: Head-to-head record
Group E at Euro 2021 will consist of Spain, Poland, Sweden, and Slovakia. The winner of the group will face third-place from either Group A, B, C, or D in the Round of 16 – which is likely to be one of Switzerland, Turkey, Denmark, Russia, Ukraine, Austria, Scotland, or the Czech Republic.
The team that finishes runner-up in Group E will play the second-placed team from Group D in the first knockout phase; most likely to be either Croatia or England.
