Veteran England pacer James Anderson, who was recalled to the English squad for the series decider against West Indies proved his worth with some impeccable bowling. Anderson, partnered with Stuart Broad dismantled the West Indies batting lineup and now the duo have a chance of scripting a unique record.
Stuart Broad who is on 499 Test wickets, is just one short of entering the prestigious 500 club. While Anderson already features in the elite list, it would be only the second time any bowling pair would cross the historic milestone. Previously, the Australian bowling duo of Shane Warne and Glen McGrath has achieved the feat in 2000.
Earlier, during the Day 2, Anderson also entered the record books to become the highest wicket-taking English bowler against West Indies. Apart from the feat, he also joined the ranks of Kapil Dev and McGrath, who has 110 and 89 scalps respectively. Anderson currently stands third in the list with 87 wickets followed closely by Truman who has 86 wickets to his name.

Stuart Broad too gave a testament of his lofty repute by showing his worth with the ball as he scalped a five-wicket haul during day three of the ongoing third and final Test between England and West Indies at the Old Trafford in Manchester. Broad on Day two had picked two wickets and on day three he added six more, taking his tally to 8 wickets in the match as he nears 500 wickets in Tests.
