DC vs RCB in IPL 2021: RCB’s AB de Villiers smashes 42-ball 75: On Tuesday, with Royal Challengers Bangalore needing a solid innings in the middle-order, Ab de Villiers came to bat at No 5 to provide RCB with the solidity. In his usual style, he took on Delhi Capitals bowlers to accelerate the scoring rate for RCB, reaching his 50 off 35 balls. That helped steady the ship after RCB lost Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal early. Glenn Maxwell also returned with 25 despite starting well. However, he has come back to form in IPL 2021. His 75 off 42 balls helped Royal Challengers Bangalore post 171 in 20 overs.

Earlier, Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant opted to bowl first at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. “We will look to bowl first. The wicket looks dry, so we want to bowl before the dew sets in. Nothing much to talk about in the previous game. We should have won the game before the Super Over. Ishant is playing in place of Ashwin,” Rishabh Pant said after winning the toss.

“We would have bowled as well. Dew is a big factor here. I think it came as early as the first innings. So we got to set a nice foundation, need to have wickets in hand and go hard. We need to keep that intent going. Saini makes way for Rajat Patidar, he will bat at 3 to give us a bit more batting. Daniel Sams replaces Dan Christian,” Virat Kohli said after the toss.
