Reports: Dana White expanding Apex Arena
UFC prefers to keep most of its Fight Night events at the Las Vegas APEX as it offers a cost-effective solution for event production. Since the APEX is owned by the UFC, they can avoid the expenses associated with renting a venue and transporting personnel and equipment across different locations.
Interestingly, it seems that the UFC is looking to expand the APEX arena, according to the YouTube channel MMA on Point. Check out the video below for more details.
In the video it was reported, “they are expanding the building to include the fighters hotel this will save an insane amount of money and time.” Without question, the UFC would have a major advantage if it had their own hotel to offer fighters, as it would eliminate the need for external accommodations and simplify logistics.
Nevertheless, the flip side of this coin is that the UFC’s apex arena is comparatively smaller than other venues, resulting in a smaller audience. As a result, the energy and ambiance generated by an enthusiastic crowd, which can electrify the fights and add an extra layer of excitement, may be lacking in the APEX.
